At the same time, BICI has launched internal engineering laboratories and dedicated engineering and technical teams to jointly develop engineering technologies with universities to advance today’s industrial development.

 

BICI USA is seeking experienced technical professionals/engineers in the medical industry to work alongside our talented teams and partners and manage the bio-medical portfolio. The goal is to identify and incubate technologies with true market needs, manage existing portfolio projects, and accelerate the commercialization process.

 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Use technical knowledge and skills, such as 3D modeling, engineering drawings, etc. to do due diligence for potential investors' investment opportunities. Specific duties include:

  • Review technical drawings/reports, and complete desktop research to understand proposed manufacturing technology, automated processing equipment for structural materials. Identify potential strategic investment opportunities in Mechanical related fields from compelling startups, university labs and research institutes.

  • Apply scientific or engineering principles in mechanical systems to evaluate projects for technological merits and potential market projections. Initiate collaboration between professors and industry on manufacturing, numerical simulation, material processing ideas/projects.

  • Based on experts detailed review, provide preliminary investment recommendation reports from the technical perspective, in the fields of manufacturing, numerical simulation and material processing.

  • Apply LEAN/Six Sigma to assist product failure investigation and provide optimization recommendation during design iteration. Co-develop the manufacturing and quality control process with external partner to scale up the production for funded startup company.

  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, contract manufacturers, assemblers, or other support personnel to assist research group/startup company solving technical problems.

  • Manage funded projects by monitoring progress and assisting commercialization.

  • Communicate with project teams on a regular basis, jointly prepare monthly progress report, and conduct milestone check. Process lab data and quality inspection data to evaluate production cost and scalability. Promote commercialization of early stage technologies.

 

Minimum qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Physics, plus 6 months experience in the job offered /Mechanical Engineer/Project Engineer/Related;

  • Must be skillful with the following tools: 3D modeling; creating engineering drawing; metal fabrication processing; hydraulics and electrical/electronic control design; performing structural analysis with FEA and numerical modeling; industry research and technical trend analysis for product strategy; manufacturing process development.
